Feel better in your body
Hi, I'm Katie Hemphill, and I am here to help you feel better in your body with an embodied, integrated approach to healthier living: one that honors all that you are (body and mind) as we call upon a wide collection of knowledge & tools to help you heal and transform.
It sucks to feel poorly in your body: To lack the energy or willpower to show up for life fully. To be stuck in anxiety and overwhelm as you battle your way towards any clear path through it all.
It is time to change this.

Any path to feeling comfortable, strong, centered, and energized in your body requires a look at all parts of self: calling upon precise techniques to help you heal pain and discomfort while simultaneously healing the patterns that perpetuate feeling lousy.
I know that you are longing to show up for this life with more of yourself. Whether you are looking to pursue personal goals, or whether you are looking to show up more fully for the powerful work you can do for this world... regardless, I am here as your health & embodiment coach to help you heal what is ready to be healed and to help you embody more energy, mental clarity, and the physical ability to show up for what matters most.
Whatever is keeping you stuck in place and unable to step into that form of life that is calling to you, it's time to move past this.
Working 1:1 is all about YOU and your path to a healthier, more joyful, and more fulfilling life. Some of what we get to work on together looks like:
-
resolving the anxiety, stress, and overwhelm that keeps you stuck, feeling lousy, and unable to take meaningful action
-
finding clarity on health solutions (e.g., dietary and movement patterns) that best align with your body and lifestyle
-
healing from nervous system patterns that keep you stuck
What modalities do I pull from?
- Yoga Therapy
- Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy
- Yoga & Meditation
- Nutrition Coaching
- Ayurveda & Nutrition Coaching
- Energy Work
What ground do I stand on?
Traditionally trained as a Biomedical Engineer (B.S.E., M.S.), I left the world of science and technology to create a space that addresses health problems holistically. Maintaining a solid grounding in science, I opened to all the solutions that have the potential to heal and transform.
What followed is a path through my own deep dive into nutrition and exercise solutions, metabolic health, and behavioral change.
Concurrently, I opened to embodiment traditions (yoga & meditation, priestessing, energy work, etc.) that allow me to further understand all the layers and parts of self at play making each individual unique.
Altogether, what I offer is a fully integrated approach that grounds itself in the physical while opening to all aspects of reality that have the potential to impact how you feel each moment.
A wild journey, huh? One that I keep grounded by always returning to the question that matters most:
How do you feel in your body? What patterns and behaviors and practices impact you? Does it help you? This is the meter that matters most in this space.
Get Out of Your Head and Step Into Transformation
Once upon a time, I set forth on the path as a scientist & engineer to discover and create the best solutions to solve our world's greatest problems. But what I learned along the way changed everything!
While I still do all that I can to work from a science-backed approach, what I also recognize is that science can only take us so far. You, and your unique experience and knowing, will take you the rest of the way through the transformation you are seeking!
How I work to support you:
My work focuses on YOU (your healing: mentally, physically, emotionally) so that you become more fully capable of showing up in the world to shine your brilliant light.
My process is not about getting you to fit some mold that I've determined is better than the rest. Instead, it puts you and your unique needs & desires at the forefront, enabling you to better learn to make intentional choices:
-
with less stress
-
with more space to make choices that fully support your unique needs and desires
-
with deeper connection to the planet we live on
It is my mission to help you
Feel good in your body
When we work together 1:1, I am here as your personal guide/teacher/coach to bring you personalized embodiment practices and techniques for your healing & joyful transformation!
With a broad & diverse set of tools & techniques, it is my task to meet you exactly where you are at so you can find that healing now, and be equipped to take charge of your own path as you move forward

A true holistic health approach requires that we work with all parts of self: mind & body
It's normal in this day and age to feel anxious, overwhelmed, and often even depressed when it comes to working through life's challenges. It's normal to experience low or unstable energy levels, and to feel uncomfortable in our own bodies.
It's normal - because our modern world forces us to live out of alignment with our true nature.
Let's work together to change this.
I am here to support your healing (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually) by helping you to return into deeper connection with your true nature.
You may have been taught differently, but as a human being, you are part of the natural world that exists in accordance to natural law. Our modern world is out of balance with natural law, and this drives the progression of dis-ease at all levels (mentally, physically, emotionally, ecologically).
Together, we can change this as you move through your own healing process.
I teach an embodied approach to healthier living. In this space I teach you practices to get you out of your head and into deeper connection:
-
with your body
-
with the food you eat
-
with the planet we live on
Our modern world goes to extensive lengths to separate, isolate, break down, break apart. Our work together is to reconnect.
When we isolate these problems (i.e., break them down and bucket them into individual problems to be solved), we not only become overwhelmed, but also lose out on important information (and, therefore, we miss out on viable solutions).
I work differently. I teach you to get out of your head and step into an embodied experience. It is in this space (and only this space!) that you can understand the challenges that you are facing as stemming from the same roots.
It is in this space that we find the most effective and simplest solutions on your path forward.
How I can support your healing
Physical Health
As a Biomedical Engineer (B.S.E., M.S.), I made it my mission to understand the depths of the workings of human health.
Today, I weave my depth of knowledge about the (patho)physiological workings of the human body with my training in nutrition and as a yoga therapist.
Altogether, I am here to provide you with a space to get to know your body as you learn to make choices that better nourish, support, and heal.
Mental & Emotional Health
The days of mental health stigma are gone. These days, we recognize that mental health challenges exist for every single human being on this planet.
Whether you recognize distinct mental health challenges or more generally want support aligning your mental capacity with your ability to show up in this life, I can help.
Trained as a yoga therapist with specialization in trauma and nervous system healing, I can help you understand your mental and emotional body beyond the oversimplified model that has long been accepted.
Ecological & Planetary Health
We, as biological beings, are intricately interwoven with the ecosystems we are part of.
It is no coincidence that our planet is dying out at the same time that us humans suffer such extreme rates of physical and mental health.
All of our choices and circumstances (from the food we eat to the air we breath) are interwoven with the greater biological systems we are part of.
We suffer as one. We heal as one.
Healthy and Embodied Living:
A Biomedical Engineer turned Yoga Teacher and Embodiment Coach
I created Your Health, Reprogrammed back in 2017 as a space to explore human pathophysiology and disease progression. Back then, I relied fully on my background as a Biomedical Engineer: exploring health through the lens of pathways and mechanisms as I called upon the power of the human mind to do what I could to "solve health problems."
But I was missing something deeply important...
The day I graduated with my Master's of Biomedical Engineering, I believed I could solve our health problems by understanding each and every mechanism involved in common pathways of disease progression.
If only people could understand how their behavior tied directly to pathways of disease progression, then they could change their behavior to make healthier choices.
In those days, I lived so fully in my head as a scientist & engineer, and I didn't realize that more information isn't always the best path forward. I mean, of course information can be useful, and I am happy to support you with my wealth of knowledge surrounding (patho)physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, exercise physiology, and more!
The key is that, when it comes to true transformation, there is so much more to the picture, and it has even more to do with how you receive this information and integrate it in your own life!
To understand what the full picture looks like, I left behind my science & engineering roots and took off to seek out other frameworks that support individuals as they seek to find better health: mentally & physically.
These days, I support individuals through health transformation with a very different approach:
- one that gets you grounded in your body: a space from which you can be in tune with your unique needs and desires
- one that offers information from a variety of sources in doses that are right for you
- one that enables you to live life with less stress and overwhelm and to take aligned action with what is best for your full self: body & mind
I still believe in the power of science and calling upon trusted information to guide our life choices.
But this only becomes useful if this information is grounded in something significant and true.
I'll give you a hint on what that is: you!
Finding balance among science, data, and our own embodied experience in this world
There's a significant thread in our world that goes like this: If we can just be smarter and find better solutions based on the best data possible, then we can solve our greatest problems and make this world a better place!
And to that, I say: I get it. Our world could benefit from an ability to listen and take action when the information is coming from a space that is grounded in validity.
But there's a problem when it comes to spaces having to do with our human experience and many of the great problems at play in our world: one I learned when I, myself, was playing the role of the researcher:
These problems are complex. Most problems that we face have to do with far many more variables than we imagine, let alone understand in a few minutes, days, or even years.
So, when someone tells us they have a solution based on a small set of data, I become deeply skeptical.
I am always open to information that can support better health 🙂
I am also always deeply questioning whether that information is actually safe and beneficial for me, given my own body and unique life circumstances.
It is this mentality that I am here to teach you: How to balance external information from valid sources, while learning to listen into your own self for deeper guidance.

The Art of Balance: Holistic Health meets Systems Engineering
As a Biomedical Engineer, I am trained to find concrete solutions to grand problems.
What problem is more grand than the infinite web of life and the wounds carved into each piece of it (including our own selves)?
The art comes with being able to hold both the expanse and interconnection of it all while we simultaneously work through the most pressing matter at hand.
It's an art. It's a science.
And it brings together many diverse perspectives. Personally, I hold several at any one time:
Pathophysiology
Yoga
Yoga Therapy
Systems Biology
Nutrition Science
Exercise Physiology
Stress Management
Any time a word becomes used in abundance in our society, it becomes important to clarify how we each use it.
Embodiment is one of these terms, and it's one that is significant to my line of work because I believe it holds an important path for us all:
- away from the overwhelm and anxiety that keeps us stuck and feeling lousy
- towards a way of living that aligns with a deeper truth for each of us individual human beings - each as one node in the grand expanse that is life on this planet
In 2020, I realized that the way I'd been living life had been leading me along a path of overwhelm, anxiety, and one that had been carving deep wounds into my being.
When the chaos of 2020 hit, it all became too much. I cracked, broke wide open, and was sent along a path filled with immense pain, crippling anxiety, and panic that would seize me, hold me down, and require me to face my demons over and over again.
Throughout this dark time, I found my way to incredible teachings that would help serve my path back out of the dark and once more into the light of day.
But the path is not an intuitive one, and it strays far from the mainstream wisdom of a modern world fixated on linear progress and positive thinking.
